Welcome to Rocky Cape!

When we have space available we welcome visitors to our community, both for the short term (overnight guests) and for longer periods of time.

For single people (backpackers) we offer cabin accommodation, as available. Other arrangements, involving shared living space, can be made for families, singles, or lone travellers through our part of Tasmania. 

Deciding to visit us will indicate that you are a person of compatible morals, and comfortable with what we represent (as described in this website). Should you wish to smoke, bring pets, use alcohol, or listen to loud music, etc., you will want to choose other accommodation in the Rocky Cape area (write and we can give you ideas) or our nearby town of Stanley.

We live just outside the Rocky Cape National Park, next to Hellyers Beach, and within a short drive of the Nut at Stanley, the Highfield Historic Site, and many other places of interest.

Long Term Visitors

Does your interest in visiting us involve an inner longing for the Kingdom of God? Do make your interest known, and we will make arrangements accordingly. You are welcome to stay with us for a week or two (recommended for first-time visitors), or longer, if we all feel comfortable with the situation.

We expect visitors to join in with the work force around the place, as possible. We also expect you to eat with us in our common dining hall, and to take part in our daily meetings (Gebetsstund/Prayer Hour) at 5:30 p.m., before the evening meal.

We expect long term visitors to conform to our standards of modesty and to refrain from bringing into our midst what we do not appreciate. Guidance will be given in accordance with what you can read on this site. 

Rates/Donations

We are happy to provide lodging to our guests and friends. Beyond that we are happy to help, as we are able, in situations where temporary or long-term help is in order.

But we cannot, of course, keep people without incurring expenses, so we welcome your donation. Should you wish to make a long term arrangement, please write to the address above and we will work out what is most suitable for you.
